So. This happened right in front of me at a multi million dollar hotel. He darted off before I could get to him to offer help. Why do I feel like crying?

DO Foundation I caught up with this man. His name is Stanley. He's been sleeping on the streets of Miami. Struggles to get a few dollars each day for McDonalds meals. Scavenges trash cans for water or cigarettes. He told me his story. I asked him the last time he slept indoors or had a shower. His answer: ONE MONTH. I JUST BOUGHT HIM A HOTEL ROOM FOR THE NIGHT AND TOLD HIM TO ENJOY, RELAX. If only he lived in Michigan or DO Foundation was in Florida he'd be better taken care of (as in assisted in getting his life back on track - starting with HOUSING).
